Calvin Women's Track and Field Lands Four on USTFCCCA Great Lakes All-Region Team

Four members of the Calvin women's track and field team have received Great Lakes All-Region honors as named by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

Those four individuals are senior Katie Diekema, juniors Allison Rozell and Renee Miller and freshman Sadie Heeringa.

In order to receive all-region accolades, individuals needed to be ranked in the top five of their respective event on the NCAA III performance list.

Diekema is from Kenmore, Washington. She is a graduate of Ingelmoor High School. Diekema holds the second-best time in the Great Lakes Region in the 1500 meters (4:30.51), the third-best time in the 5,000 meter run (17:08.97) and the fifth-best time in the 800 meters (2:14.83).

Rozell is from Grand Rapids and a graduate of Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern High School. She is ranked fourth in the Great Lakes Region in the javelin throw (128-6). Miller is from Marlette, Michigan. She is a graduate of Marlette High School. She is ranked third in the Great Lakes Region in the long jump (17-9).

Heeringa is from Grand Rapids. She is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. Heeringa is ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region in the 5,000 meter run (17:23.65).
