Calvin Women's Tennis Receives ITA Academic Honors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Calvin College women's tennis team has received 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors, as announced by the organization.

In addition, three members of its 2018 squad received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

In order to qualify for ITA All-Academic honors, a team must hold a minimum GPA of 3.20. The Knights finished the year with a combined team GPA of 3.485.

In order to qualify for ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, an individual must have had at least a 3.50 GPA during the 2017-18 academic year senior Lark Foote sophomore Brittney Statema, and freshman Madeline Brouwer all qualified this year.

The Knights finished the 2017-18 season with a second-place finish in the MIAA at 6-2, and posted a 14-7 overall record.
