Anna Serino Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Team in Women's At-Large Division

Calvin College senior Anna Serino has been named to the Google Cloud Division III Academic All-District Team in the women's at-large division.

The at-large division includes the sports of beach volleyball, lacrosse, rowing, bowling, rifle, crew, skiing, fencing, swimming and diving, field hockey, tennis, golf, gymnastics, water polo and ice hockey.

A native of Pinckney and a graduate of Pinckney High School, Serino now advances to the national ballot and is eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America consideration.

Serino recently concluded a standout four-year career on the Calvin women's swimming and diving team. During her career she has been a member of three NCAA III All-America relay teams and three relays that have received NCAA III Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

At the 2019 NCAA III Championships this past March, she took 15th in the 200 freestyle and was a part of Calvin's 200 freestyle relay team that placed 15th, earning NCAA III Honorable Mention honors in both events.

In 2017 she was a part of an 800 freestyle relay team that took sixth at the NCAA III Championships. In 2018, she helped Calvin's 400 freestyle relay place seventh and its 800 freestyle relay finish eighth at the NCAA III Championships.

A four-time member of the All-MIAA Women's Swimming and Diving Team, Serino was the 2019 MIAA champion in the 100 and 200 freestyle. She is a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a seven-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. She was a member of the College Swim Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America team in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Serino is majoring in kinesiology with a pre-professional emphasis. She carries a 3.78 grade point average and is set to graduate from Calvin on Saturday. She will attend Washington University of St. Louis this fall to obtain her graduate degree in occupational therapy.
