"Abby had a fabulous weekend," said Calvin head swimming coach Dan Gelderloos. "She is not the type of person to settle for maintaining the 'status quo.' She continues to work hard and improve. To see her swim this fast this early in the year is very exciting. She is very deserving of this award."

Van Harn helped the 17th-ranked Calvin women's swimming and diving team finish third at the Calvin Winter Invitational with 1,334 points in a field filled with Division II competition.
