Calvin Women's Lacrosse Receives Zag Sports/IWLCA Academic Honors

The Calvin women's lacrosse team has been named a 2018 Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

To qualify for the honor, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

Under the direction of head coach Blake Boehm, the Calvin women's lacrosse team posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.224 during the 2017-18 academic year.

In addition, seniors Madeline Baas (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) and Emma Hall (Harare, Zimbabwe/Chisipite Senior School) along with juniors Grace Einfeld (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) and Alyssa Gagnon (Minooka, Il./Minooka HS) have been named to the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the individual honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The awards culminate a standout 2018 year for the Calvin women's lacrosse program as the Knights captured MIAA regular season and MIAA Tournament titles. Led by Boehm the Knights finished 12-6 overall and 8-0 in the MIAA. After capturing the MIAA Tournament title with wins over Hope and St. Mary's, Calvin advanced to the NCAA III Tournament for the 3rd straight year.
