Emily Cefaratti Earns IWLCA All-Region Honors

GRAND RAPID, Mich. - The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2017. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Friday, May 19. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American Banquet on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, Md.

"I am incredibly happy for Emily," said Calvin head coach Blake Boehm. "She is really deserving of this honor. She has worked hard her entire career and I am happy to see her be recognized."

Emily Cefaratti was named to the Great Lakes Region Second Team.

A senior from Hinsdale, Illinois, Cefaratti is the first Calvin player to earn IWLCA All-Region honors.

This year, Cefaratti has 78 points, on 58 goals and 20 assists. She has also tallied 44 ground balls, 25 draw controls, and caused 32 turnovers.

Cefaratti is the only MIAA player to earn IWLCA All-Region honors.

Cefaratti and the Knights play Mount Union on Saturday in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
