Calvin Women's Golf Finishes Third at MIAA Jamboree #3

SAUGATUCK, Mich. – The Calvin women's golf team took third place in the MIAA Jamboree #3 hosted by Hope College with a score of 337 strokes. 

A total of nine teams competed in the jamboree and winning was Saint Mary's College with a total of 293 strokes. 

Individually, Saints Mary's Hunter Kehoe won with a round of 70. 

For Calvin, freshman Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich. / South Christian) led the team with a round of 81. Sophomores Linnea McDonnough (Pentwater, Mich. / Pentwater) and Meredith Bult (Wheaton, IL. / Wheaton Academy) carded scores of 84 and 85. Rounding up scoring for the Knights was freshman Emme Darkowksi (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton) who shot an 87. Senior Nicole VanderYacht (Bryon Center, Mich. / South Christian) finished fifth for the Knights with a round of 90. 

Competing individually, freshman Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge HS) tallied a round of 84.

The Knights will compete in the MIAA Tournament #4 on Saturday at 1 p.m. hosted by Kalamazoo College.
