Calvin Women's Golf Takes Second at Hope Invite

SAUGATUCK, Mich. - Calvin took second at the Hope Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Ravines Golf Club, posting a season-best team score of 346.

Calvin finished 11 strokes ahead of North Central and 31 strokes ahead of Wheaton. Hope took first place with a team score of 329.

Senior Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich./South Christian HS) had a season-best score of 83 to lead the Knights. Sophomore Linnea McDonnough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater HS) had an 87 followed by sophomore Meredith Bult (Wheaton, Il./Wheaton Academy) and freshman Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge HS) with rounds of 88.

Freshman Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian HS) was close behind with a round of 89.

Hope's Abigal Meder was the medalist with a round of 77.
