Calvin Women's Golf Team places sixth in Scotland USA Invitational

ALMA, Mich. – The Calvin women's golf team took sixth place at the Scotland USA Invitational with a total team score of 374 strokes. Alma College was the overall winner with a score of 341 strokes. 

The top golfer of the day was Madisyn Reed of Siena Heights University who shot a round of 81. 

For the Knights, freshman Emme Darkowksi (Bryon Center, Mich. / South Christian) was Calvin's top finisher with a round of 88. Sophomore Amanda Scholten (Wyoming, Mich. / Calvin Christian) was next for the Knights and she carded a score of 93. Senior Katy Hamilton (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Grand Rapids Catholic Central) shot a round of 97 and freshman Mia Kurkecihian (Naperville, Il. / Naperville Central) recorded a round of 98.

The Knights return to competition Saturday, September 22ndas they compete in MIAA Tournament No. 2 - scheduled to be hosted by Saint Mary's College.
