Calvin Women's Golf Takes Sixth at Olivet Kyle Campbell Invitational

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team took sixth at the two-day Olivet College Kyle Campbell Invitational, posting a two-day total of 699 strokes.

The Knights recorded a team score of 352 strokes in Saturday's round after shooting 347 on Friday.

Sophomore Meredith Bult (Wheaton, Il./Wheaton Academy) led Calvin with a two-day total of 170, shooting 85 on both Friday and Saturday. Bult finished tied for 18th in the final individual standings.

Sophomore Linnea McDonnough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater HS) had an 85 on Saturday after shooting 88 on Friday to finish at 173 for the tournament.

Senior Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich./South Christian HS) finished at 179 (88-91) as did freshman Emma Dykhouse (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian (86-93).

Freshman Kaylee Hirschman (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge HS) came in at 183 (92-91) to round out Calvin's lineup.

Competing individually, freshman Emme Darkowski (Brighton, Mich./Brighton HS) had back-to-back rounds of 100.

Calvin finished nine strokes ahead of North Central and seven strokes behind Albion.

DePauw won the tournament with a final two-day score of 602.
