Women’s Golf Competes at MIAA-CCIW Challenge

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. – The Calvin women's golf team competed at the MIAA-CCIW Challenge on Friday. The Saturday round was called off due to weather.

The CCIW won the event with a score of 701 to 728. Joining Calvin on the MIAA side was Hope College. The two went up against Wheaton and North Central.

Freshman McKenna Smith (Bridgeman, Mich./Bridgeman) led the Knights with a colligate-low round of 92.

Freshman Linnea McDonough (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater) finished with 93 strokes.

Senior Gen Best (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) recorded a round of 96.

Freshman Amanda Scholten (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) finished at 103 strokes and senior Elizabeth Scholten (Wyoming, Mich./Calvin Christian) shot a round of 105.

Junior Katy Hamilton (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central) walked into the club house at 107 strokes.

The Knights return to play on Saturday at Hope in the DAP Cup.
