Women’s Golf Wraps Up Border Battle

BRISTOL, Wis. -- The Calvin women's golf team wrapped up the Battle on the Border Tournament in Wisconsin on Saturday. The Knights finished in 15th place after two days at 739 strokes. Wisconsin-Whitewater won with 649 strokes.

The Knights were led by junior Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich./South Christian) who shot a round of 86 on Saturday, one better than Friday and finished in 24th place.

Tied for 57th place was sophomore Jessica Zylstra (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian) and junior Katy Hamilton (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central), who recorded a round of 92, for the second-straight day.

Senior Gen Best (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) notched a round of 102 to finish in 85th place.

The Knights return to action on Friday at the Olivet Invite.
