Women's Golf Takes Seventh at MIAA Jamboree - Now Sixth in MIAA Overall Standings

SAUGATUCK, Mich. - The Calvin women's golf team took seventh at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Hope Tuesday afternoon at the Ravines Golf Club.

Playing in cool and breezy conditions, the Knights fired a team score of 382. Host Hope won Tuesday's competition with a score of 322.

Calvin currently sits in sixth place in the overall MIAA team standings with 1,105 strokes, four strokes ahead of seventh place Albion and 30 strokes back of fifth place Trine.

Sophomore Nicole VanderYacht (Kentwood, Mich./South Christian HS) led Calvin on Tuesday with a round of 89.

Sophomore Grace Bolt (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) had a round of 95 while junior Emilee McCusker (Hayward, Wisc./Hayward HS) had a 96.

Freshman Jessica Zylstra (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian HS) chipped in with a round of 102 while senior Amira Bousaab (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpointe Christian HS) had a 109.

Megan Klintworth of Hope was the tournament medalist with a round of 75.

Calvin returns to league action on Saturday, competing at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Alma at the Pine River Country Club at 1 p.m.
