 Entries 
    1. Pre-meet:

      1. Meet entries are limited to a maximum of 4 entries/event.  Entries are due to Direct Athletics by 6:00 pm on Thursday Feb. 21.
        1. Meet seeding will be by timed finals/qualifying marks and seeded accordingly by slowest to fastest/worst to best sections and flights. Any times from an indoor meet run on a 300 meter oversized track must be converted down to a 200 meter track time using NCAA conversion standards. All seed times for the 60 through 800 must be FAT.
        2. Performance lists will be sent out to coaches by 8:00 that evening.  Acceptance of late entries prior to the publication of the performance list are at the discretion of the games committee.
        3. Performance lists will be sent to coaches and the MIAA Track & Field coordinators by 8:00 pm two days prior to the meet.
        4. Any scratch prior to the performance list publication should be sent to the timing company (Don Passenger). Scratches done prior to the performance list publication will not evoke the “failure to participate” rule.
      2. Seeding and flight corrections (if needed) must be emailed to the timing company by noon one day prior to the meet.  Final heat sheets and flights for field events will be sent to coaches and MIAA Track coordinator by 3:00 pm on the day prior to the meet.
      3. There will be a conference call on Friday, Feb. 22 at 10:00 am to discuss any final details.  Call-in info will be sent out.

      5. Field Day Games Subcommittee:  Alma, Calvin, Hope
        1. The subcommittee should give guidance to starting heights and progressions, help with overseeing the qualifying procedures, rules interpretations, give guidance on competition day decisions.

       

      Day of the meet:

      1. All bus parking should be in Lot 4 (see attached map).  Please do not park in Lot 1.
      2. We will be charging admission to help defray the cost of renting Aquinas’ facility. Please alert your parents.
        1. MIAA students with ID:  FREE
        2. Adults:  $5.00
        3. Children ages 3-17:  $3.00
      3. No spectators will be allowed on the track level.
      4. Aquinas requests that no food or drink be brought into the competitive venue (water is fine).
      5. No spikes will be allowed outside the competitive venue.
      6. Pyramid spikes ¼” or less will be allowed in the competitive areas.
      7. Warm-up area: The backstretch, when available, will be open for athletes to use for warm-up. The basketball arena will be available for warm-up until approximately 4:00 pm
      8. ATC services will be available at track level.  We will not have any modalities available.
      9. Awards:  the top 8 will be recognized and the top 3 will receive medals.

  • Scoring will be through eight (8) places.
  • Points for each place through 8 places; 1st (10), 2nd (8), 3rd (6), 4th (5), 5th (4), 6th (3),

7th (2), 8th (1).

Meet Records

  • Official MIAA records may be established in either the preliminaries or the finals.
  • MIAA indoor records may only be set at the Field Day Championship meet.
