Calvin Men's Tennis Competes in Hope College Fall Invitational

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Calvin men's tennis team competed in the Hope College Fall Invitational last weekend. 

In singles play for the Knights, seniors Jose Larrea (Caracas, Venezuela / U.E. Colegio San Jose) went 2-1, Charlie Fahr (Milwaukee, Wis. / Wauwatosa East) went 1-3 and Jason Wolters (Husdonville, Mich. / Unity Christian) went 0-2. Juniors, Cobe Benzel (San Dimas, Calif. / San Dimas) was 2-2, Kryus Tsai (Glenview, Ill. / Glenbrook South) was 0-1 and Owen Brookhouse (Whitinsville, Mass / Whitinsville Christian) went 1-2. Sophomore Max Stallings (Gross Pointe Woods, Mich. / North) was 1-1. Freshman, Konner Shapiro (Bloomington, IN. / Bloomington South) went 1-1, Brandon Johnson (Midland, Mich. / Midland) went 2-2, Matthew Goff McKinney, TX. / Independence High School) went 0-2 and Daniel Huan went 2-1.  

In doubles for the Knights, Tsai and Shapiro went 3-1, Benzel and Fahr went 1-2, Stallings and Brookhouse went 2-1, Larea and Wolters went 1-2 and Johnson and Goff went 1-2.

Calvin will host Cornerstone tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in an exhibition match.
