KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The No. 25 ranked Calvin men's swimming & diving team clipped the Hornets of Kalamazoo on Saturday, 131-106. The win moves Calvin to 3-1 on the year in MIAA competition. The Knights won seven of the 13 events on Saturday.

"Today was a very productive day," said head coach Dan Gelderloos. "We were able to give some of our top athletes a day off while training at home and we were able to give some more opportunities for some of our depth to score points and have some meaningful roles. The team was strong all day long and won many close races. I feel that we are starting to turn the corner positivity towards championship season."

The Knights opened the action with a first-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of junior Ben Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant), sophomore Sam Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant), freshman Lucas Holcombe (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) and freshman Julian Iturbe (Caracas, Venezuela / Colegio Emil Friedman) won at 3:35.67.
