No. 25 Men’s Swimming & Diving Sinks Franklin and Alma

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Calvin men's swimming & diving team recorded two victories with a split squad on Saturday. At home, the Knights defeated Alma, 149-42, winning all 11 events. In Indiana, the Knights were in a tri-meet with No. 18 DePauw and host Franklin. Calvin fell to DePauw 160-134 and defeated Franklin, 174-124. At Franklin, the Knights won seven of the 16 events.

"We split up trying to get everyone the races that they needed," said head coach Dan Gelderloos. "The team that stayed at Calvin was very enthusiastic, which made me very proud. We came to Indiana for some tough racing during a tough month to race and I feel that we came away battle tested and got some valuable racing that we will use to sharpen our skills. Not all of the races went our way and I am fine with that because of the way we raced."
