Michael Moentmann Named MIAA Men's Diver of the Week
For the second time this year, Calvin College senior Michael Moentmann has been named the MIAA Men's Diver of the Week.

Moentmann is a native of Solon, Ohio. He is a graduate of Solon High School.

This past weekend at the Calvin Winter Invitational, Moentmann turned in a pair of NCAA III regional qualifying scores.

On Friday, he placed seventh on the three-meter board with a score of 453.80 points. On Saturday he posted a regional qualifying score of 445.35 on the one-meter board in the prelims before taking seventh with a score of 409.55 in the final.

Moentmann is currently ranked eighth on the NCAA III performance list on the three-meter board and 12th on the one-meter board.

"Michael is making strong steady progress," said Calvin diving coach Aaron Paskvan. "He had a strong set of performances last weekend and continues to head in the right direction. We are still ironing out some things in his diving rotation but he is doing well. I am pleased to see him receive this award and watching him to continue to improve as the season progresses."

Moentmann helped the 17th-ranked Calvin men's swimming and diving team place third in a field of Division II opponents with a score 1,180.5 points at the Calvin Winter Invitational.
