Calvin College sophomore Jacob Gandara has been named the MIAA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
A native of Santa Clarita, California, Gandara had six goals and six ground balls as Calvin split games against Hanover and Muskingum.
In Saturday's 16-5 win over Muskingum he scored a career-high five goals as five of his seven shots in the game found the back of the net.
"Jake was great for us this past week," said Calvin men's lacrosse coach Dave Hoger. "We challenged him with finishing the ball at a higher rate and he did just that. He gave our team a huge lift offensively and this award is well deserved."
Calvin returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Anderson (Ind.) at 3 p.m.
