Calvin Men's Basketball Picked Third in MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll

The Calvin men's basketball team has been picked to finish third in the 2015-16 MIAA preseason coaches' poll. The Knights received 38 total points and one first place vote. Hope was picked to win the league, receiving 48 points and six first place votes. Trine also received one first place vote and 41 points. Alma was picked to finish fourth with 33 points.

Under the direction of head coach Kevin Vande Streek, the Calvin men's basketball team returns 10 letterwinners from a team that finished 22-7 a year ago and claimed the MIAA regular season title with a 12-2 conference record. The Knights later claimed the MIAA Tournament title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA III Tournament.

Calvin opens its season on November 20 when it faces Waynesburg College (Pa.) at the Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
