Calvin Baseball Qualifies for MIAA Tournament - To Face Adrian in First Round Game

The Calvin baseball team has qualified for the four-team MIAA Tournament. The Knights (19-21) are the No. 4 seed for the double-elimination tournament scheduled to open on Wednesday.

Calvin will travel to top-seeded Adrian (30-10) for a first round game Wednesday night scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Kalamazoo (28-12) is the No. 2 seed and will host No. 3 seed Hope (24-16) in the other first round game Wednesday.

As the top seed, Adrian will host the remainder of the tournament on Thursday and Friday.

Calvin finished the MIAA regular season standings in a three-way tie for fourth place with Alma and Trine at 13-15 but gained the No. 4 seed for the conference tournament due to a tiebreaker edge in the combined head-to-head results against both Alma and Trine.

Calvin will be making its fourth appearance in the MIAA Tournament in the last five years.
