It is the mission of the sports medicine staff to provide comprehensive health care of the highest quality to our student-athletes, to provide a professional environment for all involved, to serve as advocates for the health and well-being of our student athletes, and to be proactive in managing their healthcare and general well-being.
We use an integrated team approach of certified athletic trainers, physicians trained in sports medicine, student athletic trainers, and other qualified health care professionals to provide injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to roughly 600 male and female student-athletes participating in 21 varsity sports, 6 junior varsity sports, and ACHA hockey.
All sports medicine services are located in the Van Noord Arena Athletic Training Room (VN 137) on the ground (just off the northwest corner of the main court). The training facility provides state-of-the-art treatment and rehabilitation to student-athletes.

Monday – Friday
10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Walk in evaluations
2-6:30 p.m.: Practice/game coverage (no new evaluations)

Welcome! The Van Noord Arena Athletic Training Room (VN 137) will be open at least 2 hours prior to your game and as needed following the game. We will supply your team with water, cups, and ice on the bench for games. Please let us know if you need any additional supplies.
If your team will be traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer, if you will be using our facilities outside of normal game play, or if your team will need anything beyond the previously mentioned supplies, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate the needs of your athletes.

If you are a student-athlete, you are required to pass an annual physical examination prior to the start of your season.
